2. Information We Collect
When you use Fraselo, we collect the following information:
- ->Basic Usage Analytics - signup records, last seen time, subscription status, and progress sync counts used to understand app usage
- →Google Account Information — your name, email address, and profile photo, collected when you sign in with Google
- →Learning Progress — verbs you have marked as known, verbs that need work, and your favorited verbs
- →Optional Learner Profile Details — display name, location, age, gender, occupation, and avatar preferences you choose to add for lesson personalization
- →Payment Information — handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details
- →Marketing Preferences — whether you have opted in to receive marketing emails
- →Bug Reports — any information you voluntarily submit when reporting a bug
3. How We Use Your Information
- ->To understand signup and usage patterns so we can improve the app
- →To provide and improve the Fraselo service
- →To sync your learning progress across devices
- →To process your Premium subscription payments via Stripe
- →To send you transactional emails related to your account
- →To send you marketing emails, only if you have explicitly opted in
- →To show advertising to Basic users in native mobile apps where supported. Premium users do not see these basic-user mobile ads.
- →To personalize examples only when you voluntarily add optional learner profile details
- →To respond to bug reports and improve the app
4. How We Store Your Information
Your data is stored using the following services:
- ->Analytics Records - basic signup, activity, and subscription signals are stored in Upstash Redis for the admin dashboard.
- →Upstash Redis — stores your learning progress, display name, and marketing preferences. Data is stored in the US East region.
- →Stripe — stores your payment and subscription information. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- →Vercel — hosts the application. See Vercel's Privacy Policy.
- →Your browser's localStorage — stores your preferences locally on your device
5. Third Party Services
We use the following third-party services which may process your data:
- →Google OAuth — for sign-in authentication
- →Stripe — for payment processing
- →Resend — for transactional and marketing email delivery
- →Upstash — for database storage
- →Google AdMob — for basic-user advertising in native mobile apps where supported
6. AI Features
Fraselo's current lessons, Discovery modules, flashcards, phrase patterns, and missions use authored curriculum content. We do not currently send learner lesson responses to a generative AI provider for freeform AI-generated mission replies. If Fraselo later adds freeform AI-generated responses, we will add appropriate reporting, filtering, moderation, and policy updates before release.
7. Marketing Emails
We will only send you marketing emails if you have explicitly opted in via your profile settings. You can unsubscribe at any time by visiting your profile and unchecking the marketing preference, or by clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- →Access the personal data we hold about you
- →Request correction of inaccurate data
- →Delete your Fraselo account and associated app data from inside Profile, or request deletion from our public Account Deletion page
- →Opt out of marketing communications at any time
- →Reset your learning progress at any time via the Reset tab
Account deletion removes Fraselo profile data, progress, XP, streaks, flashcards, preferences, and readiness history from Fraselo storage. Stripe may retain billing records as required for payment, tax, fraud prevention, and legal reasons. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@getfraselo.com.
9. Cookies
We use session cookies to keep you signed in. These are essential for the app to function. See our Cookie Policy for more details.
10. Children's Privacy
Fraselo is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The current mobile release should be configured as not child-directed and not part of Google Play Families unless the product strategy changes and the app is rebuilt for that audience.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice on the app. Your continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
