How to Use

A quick guide to studying verbs, practicing conjugations, reviewing meanings, and keeping your learning screen focused.

Preview 20 verbs before signing in.

Basic

Free Google sign-in unlocks all 1,750 built-in verbs and all 12 tenses.

Premium

Premium adds custom verbs, expanded flashcard tools, future premium learning features, and an ad-free mobile experience where supported.

Conjugations

Conjugations is where you inspect a verb before testing yourself. Choose a verb, pick a tense, and review each subject form in the conjugation grid.

  • Select verbs from the left panel, or use the mobile verb drawer on smaller screens.
  • Use category filters like Common, Irregular, Reflexive, Travel, Business, Medical, and Academic.
  • Tap the speaker button beside a verb or form to hear pronunciation.
  • Choose Latin America or Spain in your Profile. Spain automatically includes vosotros forms.
  • Use the Conjugation References checkboxes to show gerund and past participle reference cards.
  • When Subjunctive Present is selected, use the collapsible Subjunctive Reference for common triggers.

Quiz Mode

Quiz mode now has multiple practice paths. Conjugation Practice and Verb Meaning Quiz are available to signed-in Basic and Premium users.

Conjugation Practice

Choose Memory mode to reveal answers yourself, or Type mode to type the conjugation. Mark forms as Known, Needs Work, or Skip them for later.

Verb Meaning Quiz

Practice vocabulary by matching Spanish verbs to English meanings, or English meanings back to Spanish verbs. Multiple choice and typed answers are supported.

Sentence Practice

This quiz type is marked as coming soon and is reserved for future contextual sentence work.

Tenses

Signed-in learners can study and quiz every built-in tense. Use Profile controls to hide tenses you are not ready to practice yet.

Included with Basic

Present, Preterite, Future, Imperfect, Conditional, Present Perfect, Past Perfect, Subjunctive Present, Subjunctive Imperfect, Imperative, Future Perfect, Conditional Perfect

In your Profile, use Show These Tenses to hide tenses you are not ready to practice yet. This keeps Conjugations and Quiz mode cleaner while you build up gradually.

Progress Tools

  • Favorites let you build a smaller personal practice list.
  • Needs Work tracks forms you missed so they are easier to revisit.
  • Known Forms stores verb, tense, and subject combinations you have marked as mastered.
  • The Profile page shows real learning stats from your saved progress.
  • The Reset tab lets you clear favorites, weak forms, known forms, custom verbs, or only the current session.

Premium and Version History

Premium links open the upgrade page first, where you can review what is included before checkout.

The version number in the footer opens the version history page, which tracks major app updates and the release notes for each version.

Best Practice

  • Start with Present, Preterite, and Future until the core patterns feel natural.
  • Use Conjugations first, then test the same tense in Conjugation Practice.
  • Use the Verb Meaning Quiz to make the verb library feel familiar, not just mechanical.
  • Keep only a few tenses visible while you are learning a new pattern.
  • Review Needs Work daily, then add more tenses back into your visible study set.
